
A lifeless body with burns was found in the Zapotitla neighborhood of the Tláhuac mayoralty, Mexico City, according to the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC). The discovery was made by elements of the institution after receiving a report about a deceased person in the rural area. Officers were alerted to a fire outbreak and an injured person at the intersection of Maclovio Herrera and Camino Real. Upon arrival, they encountered a woman who explained that while visiting her friend residing in the area, she discovered her ex-partner lifeless and burned. The woman noted that the man used to collect copper wire and burned it to extract the metal. The SSC indicated that the police secured the area, notified the Public Prosecutor's Office for the respective forensic examinations, and initiated investigations. Personnel from the General Attorney's Office of Mexico City arrived at the site to carry out the corresponding proceedings and the retrieval of the body.
